Reflection on the blogging process
Getting to know this blogging program has been of great value to me. I think it is a tool I'll use for years to come. I have enjoyed the format which I have found to be user friendly, easy to understand, easy to re-edit later, and easy to add pictures and video. In this time, I created another blog as an experiment to see if I could reproduce what I'd learned. That worked though I haven't had the time to develop it. I found the set-up process straight forward.
There are sometimes glitches that develop within the template, and from hearing of other's issues, this template I've used is fairly stable in that regard.
It is also a bit clunky to use, but Tihanna who has been using the updated format says a lot of the issues I had have been resolved in the new version. I was afraid to change over in the middle of this assignment, after having already developed my blog, as that can sometimes cause loss and other issues from the changeover. I will look at it for my future use of Blogger.
In our marketing class we have been using ning.com, which seems more complex but it is a community blog which many members can add to, so I guess it would naturally be more complicated. Also we didn't learn the set-up for this, just how to add.
Still, between these two and having to put some web pages together in web maintenance, I've come a LONG way in understanding the ways that I can publish on to the web.
My favorite is blogger.com for ease and easy access, and also as it is easy to actually get on the web with one's blog.
